Aadhar Card

Aadhar Card is an identity which is issued by national Government. It is also known as UIDAI. UIDAI stands for Unique Identification Authority of India, an Indian agency that worked on Unique Identification Project. It is a part of Union planning commission, India. The main motto of this project is it to provide a unique identification number to every citizen of India.

Government of India believes that this Unique Identification help us to stop illegal immigration in India. Government has opened its registration for free of cost at many places. Government has appointed government school, college, Banks etc to register Aadhar Card of the applicant. The process of applying for Aadhar card is easy and simple. One just need to search where this registrations going on near to him or her. Then, he or she needs to go with all the document required and register himself or herself for Aadhar Card.

Document needed
While applying for Aadhar Card you must have necessary documents. Following is the exhaustive list of identity and address proofs that can be used to get an Aadhaar card.

  • Passport
  • Voter ID
  • Ration/ PDS Photo Card
  • Driving License
  • PAN Card
  • Government Photo ID Cards
  • Arms License
  • Photo Credit Card
  • Photo Bank ATM Card
  • CGHS / ECHS Photo Card
  • Pensioner Photo Card
  • Freedom Fighter Photo Card
  • Photo ID issued by Recognized Educational Institution
  • NREGS Job Card
  • Kissan Photo Passbook
  • Address Card having Name and Photo issued by Department of Posts
  • Certificate of Identify having photo issued by Group A Gazetted Officer on letterhead

Address proof can be submitted in the form of following documents:

  • Voter ID
  • Bank Statement/ Passbook
  • Passport
  • Ration Card
  • Driving License
  • Post Office Account Statement/Passbook
  • Government Photo ID cards
  • Electricity Bill (must be recent and not less than 3 month old)
  • Water bill (it should also be recent and not less than 03 month old)
  • Property Tax Receipt (not older than 3 months)
  • Signed Letter having Photo from Bank on letterhead
  • Insurance Policy
  • Pensioner Card
  • Arms License
  • Kissan Passbook
  • Freedom Fighter Card
  • Credit Card Statement (not older than 3 months)
  • NREGS Job Card
  • CGHS / ECHS Card
  • Telephone Landline Bill (not older than 3 months)
  • Vehicle Registration Certificate
  • Certificate of Address having photo issued by MP or MLA or Group A Gazetted Officer Reg
  • Rent / Lease/ Registered Saleagreement

All those applicants who do not have any of the above documents can take the help of introducers to get the Aadhaar card.
